You are your child’s first and most important teacher and your involvement is crucial to his/her success. Margate STEM Magnet Middle School welcomes your input and makes every opportunity for you to be involved in your child's education.
Hours of Operation
Our hours of operation at 8:45 a.m.- 4:15 p.m. We do not offer supervision of students outside of our hours of operation and ask that you do not allow your child to be on campus unless they are being monitored or are in a supervised activity(club, sports).On Early Release days, school ends at 1:45 p.m. and supervision ends at 2:15 p.m.
Conferences are held on Wednesday and Thursday of each week, by appointment. The times are: 8:20 a.m.-8:40 a.m. or 8:45 a.m. - 9:05 a.m. We also offer nightime conferences twice a year and will announce those through our phonelink system. Call the front office and ask to be connected to guidance in order to set up a conference. You may also call the front desk to receive contact teachers through their voicemail and your call will be returned promptly.

We need your help! The PTSA/SAC is accepting nominations for Board Members for the 2021-2022 school year. If you would like to be a board member or have time to help out with some of our fundraising activities , please contact our front office and leave a message for the PTSA liaison, Ms. Kari Murray. We are so thankful for any help you can offer to our school in support of our excellent programming.
Studies show that students who are involved in extracurricular activities do better academically. A strong sense of school spirit helps our students to connect closely with our school and increases their sense of belongingness. We have 20 clubs that students can join. Students can find out about the clubs by listening to the morning and afternoon announcements and paying attention to the Perpetual Slide Show playing on all monitors. Our clubs feature address a wide range of interests from drama, to technology to art, we have something for everyone!
We feature 9 sports teams and cheerleading. Students may try out for all teams but once on a team, must maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. as well as set an appropriate standard for obeying school rules per the Code of Conduct. Sports teams are (in order of occurrence): Soccer (Fall), Cheerleading(Fall- Winter), Volleyball (Early Winter),Basketball (Winter), Flag Football (Early Spring) and Track/Field(Spring).
Our aftercare programs are run by the Crockett Foundation. The on-site contact is Mrs. Jaime Wood. We feature 2 programs: iHealth and Youth Force. The programs run Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. Program entry is on an availability basis and there is currently a waiting list. Contact Ms. Wood by calling the front office and leaving her a message.
