Ms. Policastro
  • It is hard to believe that the first quarter of school has come and gone! Welcome to Quarter 2! I am so proud of the BHE students and staff for their hard work during the first quarter.  We accomplished so many exciting things such as establishing a strong academic foundation, adjusting to expectations at school, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and participating in our Family Literacy Night!

We had our ESOL Family Night and Title 1 Literacy Night, and they were both a huge success. The family support was excellent!

Our fabulous BHE PTA has been hard at work donating their time to support us and our students. The PTA has been involved in all family night, working behind the scenes to support our students and staff.  The first Bobcat Store was awesome. Students turned in their hard earned "Bobcat Bucks" for incentives.

Classroom instruction has been strategic and individualized to maximize student learning. Our teachers have been busy planning engaging, exciting and academically challenging lessons for all students. We are getting ready to start our ELA Fall Mini Camp for grades 3-5. This camp will provide additional support to select students.

Please join us as our monthly SAC/SAF Meetings. Parent voice is critical part of our success, and these monthly meetings are a great avenue to voice your concerns and ideas.  We hope to see you there!

    Sincerely,

    Katie Policastro
