Parents must visit their home school guidance counselor regarding district registration procedures if the interested student is under the age of 16. Parents and students will be required to attend an orientation at the Alternative High School, and a site visit form can be obtained from the home school. Following the orientation, the home school will assist these student and parent in completing the registration process. If enrollment is approved, parents will receive instructions on how to withdraw their child and register him or her at the Alternative High School at Dave Thomas Education Center.

Contact the school at 754-321-6800 for an appointment and information regarding the appropriate forms and procedures needed to register. The Alternative High School will conduct individualized placement and diagnostic assessments to assure proper placement of the student.

During the registration process, counseling and assessment will be a priority. Students will then be advised of the programs that are best suited to meet their individual needs.
