Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members:
It is with much excitement that I am joining the Riverland family. I am a product of Broward County Schools and feel honored to serve this community. I believe that schools are an integral part of the community. This is why I strive to partner with parents and the community to support our students by providing them with a well-rounded, rigorous education. I come to Riverland Elementary with many years of educational experience. I have taught multiple grade levels, provided reading and writing support, and I was a literacy coach for the last three years.
As a new assistant principal, I am committed to providing our students with a safe and nurturing environment in which every child can flourish. It’s important to me that our students are prepared to be successful in an ever-changing world. Skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, creativity, and strong communication skills are essential for our students’ success in the 21st century. At Riverland, it is our goal to create a learning environment that fosters those important skills.
I am originally from Brazil and moved to Broward when I was fourteen years old. As a former ELL student, I am thankful to the district and the teachers who supported me in my educational endeavors. Now, as an assistant principal, I am passionate about ensuring that every child in our school feels safe, supported, encouraged, and has access to a first-rate education.
I have an open-door policy and look forward to working alongside you to provide your children with the best educational opportunity possible.
