DIRECTOR/ PRINCIPAL’S WELCOME MESSAGE:

It is with great excitement and a heart full of optimism that I welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. This will be another incredible year of learning, growth and discovery!  There have been many great things happening over the summer.  We had our annual Summer Bridge Academy Program where 100 of our new incoming students made new friends, learned a lot about themselves, and our school.

Remember, McFatter Technical High School is more than just a school; it's a place where dreams are nurtured, aspirations are fueled, and futures are shaped. Every day here is an opportunity to create something extraordinary, to push the boundaries of what you thought was possible, and to make a lasting impact on your own life and the lives of others.

So, as we embark on this new academic year, let us be united in our commitment to excellence, compassion, and growth. Let us support and uplift one another, embracing the diversity that enriches our community. Let us approach each day with an open mind, a curious heart, and an unwavering determination to make the most of every opportunity that comes our way. FOCUS PARENT PORTAL:

For those new to McFatter and those returning to our campus, it is important for you to realize that Broward Schools have adopted a new information management system that is NOT the FOCUS that we used at McFatter last year. All parents need to create a parent account by going to www.browardschools.com/focus. The WORKFORCE focus that you find when searching on your favorite search engine will take you to the COLLEGE profile. This is NOT where you need to be! If you have not done so, please take a few minutes (it takes 5) to set up your parent account. If you need help with it, please let us know.

Please note the following:

1. If one parent’s information does not let you in, please try the other. McFatter student services staff can fix it to make both work, but for the sake of time, it is helpful to speed things along
2. Back to School forms are associated with the parent account. Students will not receive access to certain features in the system and activities at school without the parent completing and submitting the Back-to-School forms.
3. If you see your address is wrong, we can make a correction with 2 proofs of the correct address (utility bills, government ID, lease/mortgage information are valid proofs of address.
4. We are all learning together. As you ask, we too may be encountering that issue for the first time. We will do our best to assist as quickly as we can.
