Registration and Health Services Overview

  • New Student Registration
    School registration for new students is in person at our school. Registration is important and we want to make sure you have all the resources to make registration go as smoothly as possible. When you are ready to register your child, be sure to review the Student Registration Checklist and Requirements before you arrive. The checklist will provide information on the following:

    1. Proof of Residence
    2. School Records
    3. Medical Exams and Records
    4. Immunization
    5. Evidence of Age

    Health Forms
    The following can be found on the Health Forms website:

    1. Student Emergency Contact Card (contains consent for school health services and state-mandated screenings)
    2. School Health Entry Exam (Yellow Form)
    3. Authorization for Medication/Treatment
    4. Diabetes Medication Treatment Authorization
    5. Florida Department of Health (FDOH) Dental Sealant Program
    6. Heiken Vision program

    Visiting Our School
    While we welcome you to our school, we also want to ensure the safety and security of our students. Please be prepared to present a valid photo identification upon entrance.

  • Students Returning to IRMS for 7th and 8th Grade

    School Board Policy 5.1, Enrollment & Withdrawal, requires families at overcrowded schools to annually submit current proofs of residency to ensure they are enrolled in the assigned school. Our school is currently over 102% of permanent capacity or is anticipated to undergo a boundary change within the next two years.

    The scheduling and re-registration process will occur simultaneously to ensure all student records are accurate and schedules can be created.

    • Incoming 6th graders will receive their packets from their Feeder schools and will return the packets to the school from which they received them.
    • Returning 7th and 8th graders will receive elective course cards and re-registration paperwork from their 1st period teachers and return the cards to the same teacher.

    For 23-24 school year, The window for distributing and completing this information is 2/11/23-2/24/23. All registration and course information will be due 2/25.

  • New IRMS Student, Currently Attends a BCPS School

    Registration Process for 2023-2024

    NEW TO INDIAN RIDGE AND A CURRENT BROWARD COUNTY STUDENT

    STEP 1: Verify you are inside the Indian Ridge Middle School boundary on the BCPS School Locator: https://www.browardschools.com/school-locator

    STEP 2: Please collect the following required documentation:

    • 1.  TWO Proofs of Residence
      • If  you rent: a copy of your lease and utility bill.
      • If  you own: a copy of your mortgage statement and utility bill.
    • 2.  Legible copy of registering parent's Driver’s License.

    STEP 3: Please complete the following registration forms:

    STEP 4: Summer registration hours are Monday through Wednesday 9:00 to 2:00.

    STEP 5:  Review Elective courses at IRMS by clicking here prior to visiting the school to register.

  • New Student Coming from Private, Charter, Out of County/State/Country

    Registration Process for 2022 - 2023 

    NEW STUDENT COMING FROM: CHARTER, PRIVATE, OUT OF COUNTY, STATE, OR COUNTRY

    STEP 1:  Provide TWO Proofs of Residence:

    • If you rent: a copy of your lease and utility bill.
    • If you own: a copy of your mortgage statement and utility bill.

    STEP 2:   Provide the following:    

    • A.  Legible copy of registering parent's Driver’s License or photo ID.
    • B.  Current Immunization  Records  (FL-680 form).
      •   Incoming 7th & 8th graders  must  have TDaP booster, 2nd MMR, Hepatitis B series, and 2nd dose Varicella.
    • C.  Physical
    • D.  Student's Birth Certificate
    • E.  Copies of previous Report Card
      • Entering  6th  Grade: final 5th Grade Report Card, entering 7th Grade: final 6th Grade Report Card; entering 8th Grade: final 6th AND 7th Grade Report Card
    • F.  FSA  Scores: or equivalent standardized test scores. If your student is coming from a Broward County CHARTER School, you ONLY need to provide A,  B and C.

    STEP 3: Please complete the following registration forms:

    STEP 4: Summer registration hours are Monday through Wednesday 9:00 to 2:00.
