Hello, this is Principal Mr.; Donald Lee from Cresthaven Elementary with an exciting update about school meals! The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced it extended the summer meals flexibility waiver, now allowing Broward County Public School to provide breakfast and lunch at no cost to all children 18 years and younger – regardless of meal eligibility status.
Grab-and-go meals are available at all BCPS elementary, middle, and high schools, every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m.
Children or their parents can pick up bundles that include multiple meals by walking or driving to the car or bus loop. If the child is not present, parents are required to provide identification for their child, which includes student ID, report card or birth certificate. The ID must be presented at each meal distribution.
Our Food and Nutrition Services staff are thrilled to be able to serve free nutritious meals to all children so that they can power up every day. We look forward to seeing you at our next meal distribution!
