Mrs. Felice Winston-Davis
William Dandy Middle School Wildcats!
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!
Let me be the first to welcome our 6th graders, embrace our 7th graders, and ecstatically anticipate the leadership of our 8th graders. We are going into this school year as One Team and we will be ready for anything!
Our theme for the 2021-2022 school year is Winning in 2021-201: Grow...Know...Show. Like any successful team, we know that it will take the dedication of all our stakeholders to develop our Wildcats; nurturing hearts to encourage them to take educational risks, and finally that “Dandy Pride” to show the entire district why our Wildcats are THE Best. The world is ready for innovative leaders and William Dandy Middle School has them.
To assist us with our goals, WDMS will focus on the following initiatives: Project-Based Learning (PBL), Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and Positive Behavior (PBIS). We are also proud to announce that this will be our second year with the 5000 Role Models. Our Wildcats will take their learning to another level as they look at the world through research and begin to generate solutions to student observed issues in different facets of our society. Please be on the look-out for various parent nights where our Wildcats will display their hard work for all our William Dandy Middle School family and community.
If you have not already done so, please consider coming to at least one of our parent meetings: PTA, SAC and SAF meetings this year. These parent groups are the perfect place to learn about all our wonderful activities we plan for our Wildcats.
Our entire faculty and staff are ready to reengage, revitalize and reorient all our Wildcats in a safe, secure, and engaging environment.
Let’s Win in 2021-2022!
As always, Your Forever Proud Principal,
Below is our William Dandy pledge:
The Dandy Pledge
As a William Dandy Wildcat, it is within my reach to create a good life for myself. Out of respect for myself, I behave in a manner that demonstrates my character through high personal and academic standards. I follow the rules to keep my school clean and safe, so through Determination and the right Attitude, I pledge to be Non-violent, Disciplined and with renewed commitment to embrace my Youthfulness, because simply put, that is the DANDY WAY.
We say this pledge every morning not out of rote compliance, but as a reminder to all Wildcats that we have a responsibility to learn, grow and lead every day. That is the Dandy Way! I am looking forward to meeting all of our parents, community members, Everglades MS alumni, William Dandy alumni, and Dillard Zone family. Please be on the look-out for my official “Meet and Greet” dates and times.
Together we will continue to make our school a safe-haven for students to be their best.
