    Message from Jodianne Martin

    Greetings Parkside Families,
I am delighted to be the new Assistant Principal of Parkside Elementary School.  It’s an honor to have this opportunity to help lead a school with such amazing students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.

Originally from the beautiful island of Jamaica, my foundational years were spent at schools on various military bases, as my father served in the U.S. Marine Corps. I’m a proud product of Broward County schools and a graduate of the University of Florida.  I have served in several capacities, which include classroom teacher, literacy coach, curriculum coach, and district instructional facilitator.  I have been dedicated to the field of education working with students across all grade levels and with various backgrounds.  I am excited to bring my leadership experiences, and skills as an educator to Parkside and am committed to continuous professional growth and ensuring educational equity and access for all of our students.

I encourage you to continue to support Parkside Elementary School by actively participating in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), School Advisory Council (SAC), and School Advisory Forum (SAF). I also encourage you to attend our Title 1 Parent Nights to learn about our programs and the ways in which you can support your child’s learning at home.  Because the relationships between teachers, administrators and families are vital to the success of our students and school, know that my door is always open.  I welcome your conversation and collaboration throughout this year and look forward to celebrating our successes together as one team!  As an educator and parent, it is my goal to provide a safe and nurturing educational environment that challenges our students to reach beyond their expectations.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact me at (754) 322-7850.

    Yours In Service,

    Jodianne Martin, Assistant Principal
