Principal's Message

  • Mrs. HallGreetings Parkside Families (updated 03/01/2024),

    Administrator’s Corner

Spring is right around the corner and there are many things happening at Parkside. The month of February was filled with Love and Kindness and March will be filled with Shamrocks, Clovers and a lot of Luck! This will be a short month as Spring Break is right around the corner. Please pay close attention over these next few months, so you don’t miss out on all that is happening as we head into the last quarter of school.

We want to thank all of our families who were able to come out to the Family Math Night at Publix. This is always a great night where families can come out and solve real world math problems with their children. Publix always does a great job hosting and giving our kids special treats. PTA had a get night as well for their Movie under the stars. We want to thank them for hosting this give back to our families, and we hope you all enjoyed the evening. Finally, we want to thank all of our teachers, staff, families and community for supporting the Day of Service and Love. We were able to create over 300 care packages to give to the homeless. Each student participated in some way on the 14th. Whether they stuffed the bags or wrote a “You Matter” note, our entire school made a difference. We are looking forward to seeing the delivery of these to the homeless and the presentation for the students.

Attendance and tardies have continued to be an issue this school year. In order for teachers and students to be successful in teaching and learning, children must be here on a daily basis. Children should only miss school when they are sick, and we do understand special occasions occur at times. Vacations, celebrations, etc.., should be planned during the many breaks we have throughout the school year. Both tardies and early releases do accrue and add to your child’s absences. Please help us with reducing the number of absences and tardies each day.

The 2024/25 school year is right around the corner and Parkside is accepting reassignments. If you know of a family who may be looking for a new home as a school, please have them reach out for a tour of the school. As you all know, Parkside is a great place for your child to be. If you need more information, please reach out to the front office.

Congratulations to Mr. Lehrhaupt and the Parkside Robotics team for their performances over this last month. They have been working hard to master the coding and shine in these competitions. They have placed in the last two competitions and won the Inspire for Award for collaboration and team work. Great job and keep up the good work!

We hope that you have enjoyed this nice weather and enjoy these next few weeks before our Spring Break. .

Thanks for being a part of Parkside where we are Traveling Through Moments of Time.
