Mrs. Liz Cohen grew up in Rockland County, New York. She was one of three daughters. Her love for teaching comes from her mother and grandmother, both were teachers. She has a husband, Adam, and two daughters, Nicole and Brooke. Nicole is in college and Brooke is in high school. She also has a cat, Oliver, who thinks he’s a human child. Her hobbies are cooking, going to Florida Panther hockey games, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Cohen enjoys reading. Her favorite authors are J.K Rowling, John Grisham, and Carl Hiaasen. She is a big Harry Potter fan and enjoys going to all the theme parks in Orlando as well.

Mrs. Cohen attended the State University of New York at Buffalo for her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Nova Southeastern University for her masters in Elementary Education. Mrs. Cohen has been teaching 4th grade for many years and just loves the curriculum. She really enjoys teaching math and Florida history. She is the math coach for the Academic Games and the robotics teacher for the Robotics Team. In her classroom, she wants her pupils to become independent and responsible students. She wants them to learn to advocate for themselves and to always try to do their best. Both of those character traits will allow them to be successful in the future.
