• Third grade teachers sitting outside on a bench in the courtyard

Third grade is a year of transition from the development of skills to the development of independence. There are many new and exciting things our third graders will be learning about this year on their journey to be life-long learners.

Throughout the year we will explore the third grade curriculum including math where we will take a look at place value, fractions, algebra, word problems, and many other challenging concepts. The students work on developing their writing skills in narrative and expository form, as well as, reading many different genres of literature. Students will continue to increase comprehension skills and their reading ability.

Our field trips are currently in the planning stages, but are guaranteed to be exciting adventures that students will always remember.

As you can see we have a busy year ahead of us. We are looking forward to persevering through the challenges and reaping the rewards those challenges will bring.
