Dear Broadview Families,
It gives me great pleasure in welcoming you to the 2019/2020 school year. A very warm welcome to all of our new families; we’re very glad that you chose our school! Our phenomenal office staff is here to assist you by answering all of your questions and addressing all of your concerns. Safety continues to be our number one priority; security personnel provided by our school district will continue to monitor our campus perimeter and camera security system, on a daily basis. Our gates will remain locked during school hours. A posted phone number will be available for you to call whenever you require access.
We are VERY proud to report to you that our school has achieved a “B” grade from the Florida Department of Education. The grade is based on Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) results which was administered to our students in grades 3-5 in the areas of English Language Arts (ELA), math, and science. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment and are aiming higher in the upcoming school year.
Parental and community involvement are very important to us. I encouraged you to get involved whenever possible. You can get involved by being a part of the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), School Advisory Council (SAC), School Advisory Forum (SAF), or other school-wide activities. The first step in volunteering is to complete a simple volunteer application at www.browardschools.com Please note that a new application is required each school year. If you don’t have access to a computer at home we’ll be glad to assist you.
A matter of critical importance is access to updated contact information. We must be able to reach you in the event of an emergency. Please contact us ASAP in the event that you changed your phone number or address. Also, a valid email address is needed due to the fact that we will be sending information such as flyers, newsletters, etc. via email.
With you continuing partnership we will make it a great school year.
Very proud to be your Principal
Dr. Josh Kisten
