School Advisory Council (SAC)

  • Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) advisories and committees consult schools, departments and the School Board on a variety of issues. The members, who represent the District’s stakeholders, contribute invaluable services to BCPS by serving as subject matter experts in their respective advisories or committees.

School Improvement Plan (SIP)

  • A School Improvement Plan (SIP) containing specific objectives and action steps for achieving Florida's educational goals is required for all schools. The SAC has the primary responsibility for monitoring the implementation of the annual SIP. The SIP must be approved by the School Board.

    The School Advisory Council (SAC) at MCA meets monthly to assist in making recommendations on how our school operates. SAC membership is comprised of parents, staff, and local business community officials.

    ARTICLE I. NAME
    The name of this Council shall be the School Advisory Council.

    ARTICLE II. PURPOSE
    The primary objectives of the School Advisory Council (SAC) shall be to help identify needs and recommend programs of action. Through a community-wide commitment, the team will foster a positive learning environment, which sets high expectations and meets the diverse needs of the student body.
