Welcome to the Northeast High School website and our Incredible School!

It is an amazing honor to serve Oakland Park and surrounding communities as the Principal of Northeast High School. We are eager to see what this school year will bring as we continue to focus on teaching and learning. We are ready to celebrate all the great accomplishments that our students and staff achieved last year including the amazing gains Northeast made in All 10 State Assessed School Grade Categories!

Our three magnet themes in our Academies of Excellence are still leading Broward County. Alternative Energy, the Latin School and our Industrial Biotechnology programs continue to raise the bar each year. These three programs continue to provide a rigorous college preparatory curriculum for our high-performing scholars. The Latin Academy has been recognized as the Best Latin Program in the state of Florida several times in the past 20 years. Northeast High School has been recognized by Magnet Schools of America for our efforts, receiving both the top awards of a Magnet School of Excellence and Distinction and the National Award of Merit. Northeast High School is making great strides with the Cambridge International Program. This innovative program is rich in history, rigor, and tradition. Our students have done a phenomenal job on their Cambridge AICE exams. Over the past seven years, hundreds of students have earned the prestigious Cambridge AICE Diploma, which rewards each student a full Bright Futures Scholarship for college.

Beginning our second year are our 3 ACES Academies. We are accepting 9th and 10th-grade students for all three new academies: Aerospace, Cyber-Security, and the Design Art Academy. Each academy will have a three-course progression ending with one or more Industry Certification Examinations. There are no academic requirements (test scores or GPA) to be accepted into one of the academies. Qualifying students may also receive bus transportation to Northeast. We opened 3 brand new buildings on campus this spring. The new 2900 building (2-story 24 classrooms), building 30 (mini-auditorium), building 12 (weightroom, training room, football locker room, and classrooms) are open and operational for students and staff. Our Air Force ROTC program in partnership with Embry Riddle has officially moved into their new space showcasing our aviation programs and flight simulators. The new Culinary Arts program recently opened the new student kitchen/lab and is ready to create more amazing dishes.
