Becoming a Volunteer

Broward County Public Schools requires new AND returning volunteers undergo a mandatory application and screening process. If you are a new volunteer, you will need to complete the online application. Have an official photo ID ready and click here to access the online volunteer application.
The screening process usually takes about a week. Once your application has been approved, you will need to bring your official photo ID with you to the CPE front office and have your photograph taken for your volunteer badge. Once your photograph is taken, the office processes your badge, which usually takes another week. To check the status of your volunteer application or badge, please call the front office at 754-322-5700.
Volunteer badges are used to sign-in and sign-out for volunteer activities at any Broward County Public School location (except charter schools) for the entire school year. Volunteer badges are also required for volunteers chaperoning field trips.
