Dear Parents and Students, The Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (P.E.R.T.) will be administered to all 11th and 12th graders that have not met the Algebra EOC testing requirement. Our first test, for grades 11 and 12 is scheduled on September 6, 2019. This untimed computer-adaptive test, specifically developed for Florida, is based on the Postsecondary Readiness Competencies. Its purpose is to measure your child’s college and career readiness in reading, writing and/or mathematics. The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that 90 percent of 21st-century skilled workforce jobs will require some form of postsecondary education. That is why it is up to us as concerned educators, parents and citizens to ensure every child within our state graduates from high school career- and college-ready with high-level skills, equally prepared to meet the challenges of a college curriculum and the demands of an increasingly knowledge-based workforce. Please see the attached PERT Parent Letter which outlines helpful study guide tips as well sample tests.
Our current PERT schedule is below. Please keep in mind that this information is updated occasionally.
