Dear Families and Friends:

Welcome to the Gifted Academy at Plantation High School home page.  We sincerely hope this page will become one you visit often. 

Since 1963, the Plantation High School community has produced leaders in all walks of life. This school has produced doctors, lawyers, playwrights, musicians, artists, educators, professional athletes and many others.

Each of these outstanding individuals began his or her journey to greatness at Plantation High School.  The Gifted Academy at Plantation High School will continue to build on this ongoing tradition with our outstanding group of young students dedicated to becoming the best they can be while in school and long after they leave us.

Our Gifted Education philosophy is to cultivate, lead and inspire world-class, innovative thinkers and expert communicators through a focus on the relationship between educator and student built around a challenging, meaningful and engaging curriculum.

Our GA students will complete a four-year rigorous academic program that educates them not only in the classroom, but also outside the classroom - with extra-curricular activities, community service events, and so much more. Our graduates will leave us well prepared and ready for the next step of their college or future career.

The GA recognizes that students who possess exceptional gifts and talents should be granted the direction, time, encouragement, and resources to maximize their potential; whether it be in the area of intellect, specific academics, creativity, art, music, drama or leadership. The GA provides a learning environment that fosters a passion for social accountability, academic excellence, intellectual curiosity and encourages students to take risks to become innovative and independent learners.

The Gifted Academy at Planation High School offers a unique opportunity where young men and women, from a diverse group of races, regions, socio-economic groups and religions, gather in a special environment to learn and practice ideals that we need more of in today’s modern society.  We want to produce a group of leaders capable of propelling our society forward.
