    Educational Philosophy

As a servant leader, I recognize that it is critical to inspire others. Through compassion and collaboration, I believe that solutions can be found for most problems. As an active listener, I believe that having an open ear is equally important as having an open door. It is my fundamental purpose to bring rigor, respect, and retention to the school on a daily basis. Essentially, I believe that all students CAN learn, have value, and simply need the right opportunities to achieve their greatest potential. My daily intent and purpose is to enrich the lives of the students, staff, and the school community, and to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people…EVERY day!

  • Ms. Sara Pierce, Assistant Principal, 12th Grade

    Ms. Pierce

    Hello, Spartan Nation!
As the 12th Grade Assistant Principal, I am honored to serve our students, staff, and families as we continue building a thriving and inclusive school environment. My commitment to public education is rooted in the belief that every child has immense and untapped potential, and it is our responsibility to empower students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and character to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
As Frederick Douglass once said, “It is easier to build strong children than repair broken men,”  and at Hollywood Hills, we work to provide a nurturing environment where students can grow, explore their passions, and develop a lifelong love for learning. Ultimately, it is our goal to build our children up and prepare them for adulthood.
With two decades of experience in both teaching and leadership, I continue to have the privilege of contributing to various initiatives supporting student achievement and well-being. From building partnerships with organizations like the Jason Taylor Foundation and the Art Prevails Project to enhancing our academic offerings through Advanced Placement, Cambridge, dual enrollment, and early admission opportunities, I am committed to positively contributing to a culture of excellence and opportunity for all.
Thank you for choosing Spartan Nation! We look forward to a great year ahead!
