    Hello Everybody!

    My name is Ms. Barona and I am one of the teachers in the wonderful 5th grade team! Let me tell you a little bit about myself… I was born in Ecuador. My parents made the decision to move to the USA when I was 11 years old.

    When I graduated high school, my dream was to live in France for a year to learn the language. I then decided to apply to the Rotary Club for a scholarship to become an exchange student, which fortunately I was awarded with!

    I achieved my first dream of becoming trilingual, however, my biggest dream was to become a teacher at Country Isles Elementary!

    I attended college at F.I.U. and last year I was lucky enough to land my dream job! My favorite subject to teach is Math. But when you don’t find me teaching, my favorite things to do are to soak up the sun at the beach, hang out with family or friends, travel the world or read a great book!

    I am beyond excited to start another delightful school year with you at CIE!
