  • Dear Broward County Public Schools students, parents and families!

We hope you are ready to finish the 2024/25 school year strong!

The School Board of Broward County remains proud to be an “A” Rated School District and is continuing its efforts to elevate student learning by fostering a distraction-free environment. As part of this commitment, we’d like to remind everyone about the Wireless Device Policy introduced at the beginning of this school year:

    Disconnect to Reconnect

    • All wireless communication devices, including cell phones, laptops, headphones, smartwatches, and other wireless devices, must be powered off or in airplane mode during the school day, including passing periods and lunchtime.
    • Devices may only be used when specifically directed by a school employee for instructional purposes.

For more information and answers to frequently asked questions, please visit browardschools.com/wirelessdevices.

Thank you, students, parents, and families, for supporting this initiative to help students focus and thrive in their learning environment.

Let’s make this second half of the school year a success!

Additionally, please ensure that students are picked up no later than 4:00 PM, as supervision ends at that time. Students are released at 3:45 PM.

Thank you for being so cooperative in helping us maintain a safe and orderly environment for all students.

  • This is a reminder that i-Ready weekly lessons for Language Arts and Math have resumed and are due weekly.

Each student is expected to complete 2 lessons per week in both Math and Reading/Language Arts and spend a minimum of 45 minutes on i-Ready Math and 45 minutes on i-Ready Reading/Language Arts. These lessons are specifically assigned based on existing learning gaps and are designed to help reinforce key skills. Completing these lessons will also help prepare students for the upcoming FAST Testing.

Students will receive a weekly grade based on both the number of lessons completed and the time spent on i-Ready. Please support your child by ensuring they stay on track and complete all assignments by Sunday at noon each week.

  • We would like to remind you of the iReady weekly requirements for Math and Reading/Language Arts, which began November 18, 2024.

Each student is expected to complete 2 lessons per week in both subjects and spend a minimum of 45 minutes on iReady Math and 45 minutes on iReady Reading/Language Arts. These lessons are designed to reinforce key skills and help close any existing learning gaps.

Students will receive a weekly grade based on both the number of lessons completed and the time spent on iReady. We encourage you to support your child in staying on track and completing all assignments by Sunday at noon each week.

Your involvement is essential in helping your child meet grade-level standards, which will be tested at the end of the year. Consistent practice with iReady will make a significant difference in reinforcing learning and preparing for these assessments.
