Mrs. Horton graduated from Florida Atlantic University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She received her English Certification in 2014. For the past 20 years, she has worked in education. Prior to this she worked in the banking industry for several years but realized she wanted to play a more prominent role in the lives of children. 

Throughout her teaching career, she has enjoyed working and interacting with children of all ages. Her passion is reading, and she strives to instill this love of reading in others. As an educator, her goal has always been to ensure her students reach their full potential in a positive and productive learning environment. More importantly, she hopes to always help students become the best version of themselves!

On a personal note, Mrs. Horton is married with three children..  She enjoys reading, bike riding, hiking, taking her dog for long walks, and experiencing new adventures.
