Ms. Zsalé Haghighat
Zsalé Haghighat, learned about trade school education via Coastline Regional Occupational Program where she explored three disciplines, after a career assessment quiz, and enjoys design. She has also thought of herself fortunate, learning early on what sparks her interest and increased her focus. She strongly believes life is a journey and finds it interesting that her life has returned to a trade school, this time as faculty, and is committed to using her years of experience to benefit the next generation.
Miss Z holds Bachelor of Graphic Arts Degrees from the Academy of Art University and the University of San Francisco. She is a certified as; Microsoft Office Specialist Associate certified; Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook, Adobe Professional Certified Visual Design Specialist; Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certified, Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certified, Certiport Proctor, College Board Advanced Placement Coordinator & Broward Schools Web Content Manager. She studied Teaching at the University of West Florida and holds a Broward County Teaching Certificate as a Commercial Arts Teacher.
She believes that travel provides valuable experiences displaying there are many ways to live a life and is a seasoned world traveler. She is also the author of a multilingual children’s book Many Faces of Family which was featured in Miami’s El Nuevo Herald (2010). However, the demanding schedules which go along with the above are not ideal for parenting, so she retooled herself and joined Broward County Schools in 2009 as a Webmaster.
She has been a faculty member of Sheridan Technical High since its inception in 2014. She was the founding sponsor of the Spoken Word Club 2014 – 2019, establishing partnerships with the Jason Taylor Foundation and performances at the annual Louder Than A Bomb poetry slam. Present positions; Testing Coordinator, Web Content Manager 2021-25, Certiport Proctor, and Career Dual Enrollment Support. Previous Positions: Textbook Chairperson 2023-24, Technology Studies Teacher 2020, Game Simulation/Programming Teacher 2019, Emerging Technology Teacher 2014–18, and Cross Promotional Webmaster 2009-14.
