Ms. Esther Charles
On June 7, 2022, the city of Fort Lauderdale proclaimed "Esther Charles Day!" Ms. Charles earned Teacher of the Year for the 2021-22 school year. Congratulations Ms. Charles, we are fortunate to have you as part of our Sheridan family.
Esther Charles is a National Board Certified teacher. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Florida International University. Over the past 18 years, she has had the pleasure of instructing a diverse group of students in elementary, middle, and high school levels and as a result has collected and developed an effective repertoire of teaching strategies and instructional methods. She is currently; Literacy Coach, Testing Coordinator, Rtl-MTSS Lead, and Drama Co-Director. Her love of reading and writing has allowed her to provide support for students of all learning styles. Esther loves to read, bake, and play with her lovable daughter, Anaiah Rose.
