Renka Friedman graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s degree in English with a specialty in American Literature. After a few years in the business world, she decided to enter the world of teaching in order to inspire youth to share in her knowledge and joy of literature. After teaching Language Arts for five years, she was fortunate to be able to bring her love of writing and argumentation to Sheridan Technical High School as the Debate Instructor and Coach. She is also co-sponsor of the Drama club.

Ms. Friedman has a passion for books, theatre, Mickey Mouse and most of all her handsome son, Joshua.
