Mary Hood has been an Exceptional Student Education Specialist at the high school level for the past 37 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Varying Exceptionalities from Western Carolina University and an Master of Science from Nova Southeastern University. She has a deep commitment to helping students and is highly motivated to do so.

Her favorite part of being an ESE Specialist is the opportunity to nurture, guide and advise students throughout their high school career with an emphasis on helping students learn how to believe in themselves and building a desire to continue their education after high school.

She is excited about having the opportunity to be a part of the new innovative program at Sheridan Technical High school and brings to the Career Placement and ACCESS programs background knowledge, a keen sense of creativity, and the ability to comfortably interact with the general public, co-workers, parents and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
