Dr. Tameka King, AP, No Grade-Level
As a proud graduate of Coral Springs High, it is my highest honor to serve my alma mater as a school leader! I returned to Colt Country in 2008 and every day I am eager to share the riches of a 21st-century education by ensuring quality of instruction so that all of our students are career and college-ready. In all endeavors, as a teacher, a student, a consultant, an administrator, and roles too numerous to name, I have made significant contributions to education! I had the honor of serving as one of the Ambassadors of Education for the United States, which afforded me the opportunity to travel to Honduras for an extended stay to bridge the global educational gap and to share best practices. I have made several presentations and public appearances from California to Hawaii on topics ranging from the Holocaust to social justice in educational leadership. Being an educational leader has assured me of success beyond reproach. I have been the recipient of several awards from Teacher of the Year to Barbara Jackson Scholar. I am featured in three books on education and have written and published works of my own. I can honestly say my professional leadership policy is centered on changing lives. And I promise to start with your child's life! I am a life-long learner who works tenaciously to ignite that same passion in others. As a proud Colt who bleeds green and blue, I will continue to reach beyond my grasp so that tomorrow the next generation will have a reason to hope. After all, I am a Colt and we are Colt Strong! #ColtsUnited.
I received my Ph.D. from Florida Atlantic University. HOOT. I received my bachelor’s and my master’s degrees from Florida State University. GO NOLES!
