  • Dr. Tameka King, AP, Second in Command

Dr. Tameka KingAs a proud graduate of Coral Springs High, it is my highest honor to serve my alma mater as a school leader! I returned to Colt Country in 2008 and every day I am eager to share the riches of a 21st-century education by ensuring quality of instruction so that all of our students are career and college-ready. In all endeavors, as a teacher, a student, a consultant, an administrator, and roles too numerous to name, I have made significant contributions to education! I had the honor of serving as one of the Ambassadors of Education for the United States, which afforded me the opportunity to travel to Honduras for an extended stay to bridge the global educational gap and to share best practices. I have made several presentations and public appearances from California to Hawaii on topics ranging from the Holocaust to social justice in educational leadership. Being an educational leader has assured me of success beyond reproach. I have been the recipient of several awards from Teacher of the Year to Barbara Jackson Scholar. I am featured in three books on education and have written and published works of my own. I can honestly say my professional leadership policy is centered on changing lives. And I promise to start with your child's life! I am a life-long learner who works tenaciously to ignite that same passion in others. As a proud Colt who bleeds green and blue, I will continue to reach beyond my grasp so that tomorrow the next generation will have a reason to hope. After all, I am a Colt and we are Colt Strong! #ColtsUnited.

  • Mr. Ronald Adam, Assistant Principal, 9th-Grade

Ronald AdamI am the 9th-grade administrator at Coral Springs High School, and I am truly cognizant of the trust you place in me to treat your child as fairly as possible. Throughout my over thirty-year career as an educator, I have always endeavored to stop and reflect during conspicuous circumstances on how I would react if “your child” were my own. This is the mantra that I have maintained in an effort to deliver the most equitable treatment of all “our children”. With that in mind, I also ask for your assistance, along with your child’s assistance, in developing a true belief in their abilities to succeed. They must understand that the key to their success in life…is their self. They must have the drive to strive, without fear of failing forward. They may not experience the instant gratification of accomplishment at first blush. They must realize that it does NOT mean that they cannot do it…it merely means that they cannot do it…yet. Perseverance, discipline, and hard work must become habits…because you and I both want “our” child to succeed.

I have Bachelor’s Degree in History from UWF and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from FAU. My career in education began in Broward County Public Schools over thirty years ago serving as a history teacher, football coach, wrestling coach, track and field coach, behavior specialist, and assistant principal. I have served the Coral Springs High School Community for the last several years as an Assistant Principal. My prior schools were Miramar High, Stoneman Douglas High, and Flanagan High. I served as Assistant Principal at Stoneman Douglas and Flanagan.

To contact me, please email me and I will respond within 48 hours. If this is an emergency, please call 754-322-0500.
