The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) initiative is a key component of the “No Child Left Behind" Act. The program was reauthorized in 2015 as part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). It is an opportunity for students to enhance and reinforce academic lessons of regular school day, while also allowing them to learn new skills and discover new opportunities after the regular school day has ended. The program funds academic and personal enrichment services for children and their families.  The 21st CCLC activities are offered before school, after school, on Saturdays and / or during the summer. Our 21st Century Programs are soaring beyond expectations!

The School Board of Broward County submitted a Request for Proposal (RFP) 2019-20 application to operate 21st CCLC programs at the following schools: Rock Island Elementary, Broward Estates Elementary-Parkway Middle and Broward Youth Treatment Center-Pompano Youth Treatment Center.
