Family and Community Engagement
The Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) supports the District's commitment for improving the achievement levels of all children. Our goal is for families to partner with school staff and community members to continue a tradition of excellence in Broward County Public Schools. Our team is committed to delivering research-based initiatives that engage, inform, and strengthen families by offering access to resources and learning experiences within the District and community.
Student Voices | Families Forum
You are invited to join student representatives from over 10 student-led, adult-supported organizations in Florida as they engage in Q&A around topics such as student support, engagement, and collective impact. Considering the impact of COVID-19 on families and communities, students will discuss strategies and opportunities for continuing education and student support during the pandemic. FDOE Chancellor Melissa Ramsey and Associate Director of FASA Michele White will offer opening remarks for this forum.

FACE is partnering with local businesses throughout Broward County with the Community Readers initiative. Community Readers encourages literacy and supports positive interactions between children and adults by providing child-friendly reading spaces at barbershops, hair salons, and other local businesses.
Each location receives a bookshelf with approximately 20 books that celebrate diversity, encourage self-esteem, and incorporate social and emotional learning themes. Our purpose is for families to be full partners with school staff and members of the community in the work of supporting and sustaining excellence in Broward County Public Schools.
If you are interested in becoming a Community Reader, please contact our office.
