The Office of School Choice assists parents, guardians, schools, and the community at large with the School Choice process.
School Choice (School Board policy 5004.1) provides parents/guardians the option to request a different school other than the assigned school based on the child's home address.

New to Broward County Public Schools?
If your student is new to Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), a student number & a 24–hour wait is required before you can apply for School Choice.

2024/25 School Choice Window Closed
The 2024/25 School Choice window closed August 23, 2024, 8pm.
Only the following application exceptions for the 2024/25 school year can be submitted at this time:
- BCPS employee priority
- Military priority
- School Completion
- Parkland Elementary Choice Option Area
