Frequently Asked Questions

I just arrived in Broward County and I need to enroll my child(ren) in school. What do I do?
BCPS welcomes all students and families who have been impacted by recent natural disasters that occurred locally and abroad.
The first step for enrolling is to determine which school your child will be attending, which is based on the address where you are staying. Determine your school here. This will allow you to input your address and receive the appropriate school information.
If you don’t have access to the internet, call the District’s main number, 754-321-0000, and a switchboard operator can assist you in determining your school.
The next step is to visit the school to complete the enrollment process. Please bring with you any records you have to assist the school in placing your child appropriately. -
I don’t have any paperwork or school records. Do I need these to enroll my child?
No. BCPS understands that due to the circumstances of the natural disasters and displacement of families, parents may have incomplete records or no records at all for their child. School staff will work with parents to obtain as much information as possible to place the student appropriately.
