New On The Menu
Remember to Power-Up each school day with a healthy breakfast offered free for all students at every District school. The District’s Food and Nutrition Services Department is dedicated to ensuring students have healthy and tasty food choices in their school cafeterias. Below are listings of new menu items for breakfast, lunch and supper.
- Buffalo chicken wings (high schools only)
- Fiesta cheese omelet*
- Pizza pinwheels
- Yuca fries*
- Yummy chicken eggroll*
- Avocado ranch dressing*
- Garlic bread sticks*
- Goldfish Grahams French Toast™ and cheese stick
- Chocolate crescent*
- Confetti pancakes (high schools only)
- Lemon blueberry scone*
- Old-fashioned oatmeal (high schools only)
- Turkey sausage wrapped pancakes
- Chicken tender wrap
- Orange chicken fried rice (served in Chinese pails)
- Turkey, ham and cheese stuffer

*Students taste tested and provided input on these items during the District's annual Student Food Shows.

In 2008, the Broward County School Board became the first school district in Florida to approve an Anti-Bullying Policy. The policy specifically prohibits bullying of or by any District student or employee, with consequences for those acts that meet the definition of bullying as defined in the policy. Watch the informational video to learn more.
Providing students with safe and secure learning environments is the District’s highest priority. The Code Book for Student Conduct outlines expectations for students regarding, behavior, attendance, appropriate dress and more.
