Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30. In the case of a hurricane, the District encourages parents students and staff to monitor Broward County’s Official Hurricane and the NOAA National Hurricane Center for the most updated and accurate information. Now is the time to get ready for hurricane season.
Broward County Public Schools works directly with the National Hurricane Center, Florida Department of Emergency Management and Broward County Emergency Management Division to monitor hurricane activity.
Broward County Public Schools is closely monitoring the approaching tropical storm and will provide updates on any potential impact on school operations. We encourage families to have an emergency plan in place. Watch Weather Alert Message from Superintendent Vickie L. Cartwright
