In the District's efforts to conserve our valuable natural resources and minimize utility expenses, we have provided helpful suggestions to help each school reduce consumption. Elementary School Energy Savings Checklist
LOCATION MEASURES SUGGESTED RESPONSIBILITY Administrative Offices, Classrooms, Computer labs, Media Centers and Portable Classrooms
- Lights in wash room off (if switch exists)
- Outside windows and doors closed
- Storage room lights off
- Office lights off when not occupied
- Computers, Printers and Monitors off at end of daily use
- Copy machines off at end of day
- VCR and TV off
- Evaluate existing air conditioning runtime schedules for possible reduction in hours of operation
