Patricia Brown
South Broward High School
Patricia Brown, principal at South Broward High School, joined BCPS 28 years ago as a peer counsel coordinator. Brown believes it matters that we provide an environment where students are exposed to all academic and career options.
“Principal Brown has consistently demonstrated her conscientiousness and genuine commitment to the education of all students and teachers, as well as a concern for professional growth and development, Director Teresa Hall said. “She is an instructional leader who understands the value of professional and personal connections.”
Christine de Zayas
Eagle Point Elementary School
Christine de Zayas, principal at Eagle Point Elementary School, is a 30-year veteran educator, who has spent the last 20 years at BCPS. She believes education is more than just a means of imparting knowledge and skills. It is a process that shapes the character and development of individuals as they grow and learn.
“Principal de Zayas’ leadership has positively impacted her school, as well as supported the District and community through many initiatives,” Director Saemone Hollingsworth said. “As a leader of her school, she has proven to be a principal who is dedicated and committed to providing the absolute best for her entire school community.” ”
