    Raymond Hanna Jr., School-age Child Care Supervisor, has served at Deerfield Beach Elementary School for the last six of his 13 years at BCPS. He has a reputation for providing high-quality service and support for his students, families and school. 

    “Mr. Hanna provides top-notch customer service and always goes above and beyond,” Principal Andrew Gerlach said. “He builds positive relationships with all stakeholder groups through genuine and honest conversations, and is always respectful, positive and passionate about his program, staff and students.”

    Marvin Major has served as Campus Monitor at North Lauderdale Elementary School for the last four of his 11 years at BCPS. He has worked tirelessly to ensure the school’s campus is a secure and safe place where students want to learn, and where teachers want to teach. 

    “Mr. Major embodies our school’s mission. Each day, he acts as a bridge between our school and our Haitian community,” Principal Nichele Williams said. “He brings pride to our school while honoring his Haitian American heritage.”

    Maritza Sanchez has served as the Micro-computer Tech Specialist at North Side Elementary School for the last six years since joining BCPS. 

    “Ms. Sanchez goes above and beyond in everything that she is assigned,” Principal Heilange Porcena said. “Her passion for student achievement is evident when she volunteers to provide one-on-one and small group support to students during science.”

    Danielle St. Leon is the Library Media Clerk at Hollywood Central Elementary School, where she has spent all her 14 years at BCPS. St. Leon believes students are motivated to learn when they are inspired to express themselves. 

    “Our teachers and staff will tell you Mrs. St. Leon is the “IT GIRL” because she is always willing to help to get whatever “It” is – done,” Principal Delicia Decembert said. “She gives “It” her all in everything she does.”
