This course provides PreSchool teachers with the knowledge and skills to implement proactive behavior strategies in the classroom setting that will enhance appropriate student behaviors.
Duration: 5 weeks
Inservice: 30 points
Audience: Instructional PreK-K

Week 1: Social and Emotional Domain
Week 2: Teaching Pyramid
Week 3: Physical environment in the classroom
Week 4: Implementing proactive strategies in the classroom environment and daily routines
Week 5: "On the spot" behavior interventionsSpecific Objectives
Participants will:
- discuss opportunities to implement the "on the spot" behavior interventions and how it impacted student behavior
- provide evidence of changes in the classroom behavior environment (physical space) that positively impacts student behavior
Implementation
Participants will provide evidence of changes to the classroom environment through photographs, before and after in the classroom. Additionally, participants will discuss changes in the classroom schedule/routine and use of the "on the spot" behavior interventions that positively affected the behavior of the students in the classroom.

Inservice
- complete all assignments
- participate each week in the Discussion Area
- score at least 80% or higher on post test
To receive the inservice points, all course requirements must be completed independently by the participant and not plagiarized from any other source or person.
Prerequisites
Participants must possess the following computer skills and software to participate in this course:
- an understanding of your computer’s operating system and software
- the ability to access the Internet and knowledge of Internet search techniques
- the ability to download and install files from the Internet
- an up-to-date antivirus software package
