Seasons of Learning 2017-2018

As we continue to “bloom year-round,” teachers are again afforded the opportunity to enrich their growth and development in the area of learning they are most passionate about, their specific content area. District content experts are working diligently to design standards-based professional learning opportunities to support teachers’ progression along their personal continuum of learning in standards-based instruction, pedagogical skills, accessing resources, and implementation strategies and support.

The Winter Seasons of Learning II (SOL II) will be held at several locations around the District, after we return from the winter break. On January 8th, teachers are encouraged to participate in the Winter SOL II to re-energize with renewed strategies and skills to advance achievement for themselves and that of their students.

Registration will open in MLP on December 11th and close on the 22nd. Look for the SBBC Alert that will have specific information concerning search terms and the courses that will be offered. There will be four tracks to consider prior to registration. Be sure to note the prerequisites to ensure
that you register for the track that fits your profile:

Track 1- Participants who completed the Summer and Fall Seasons of Learning (Returning)

Track 2 - Participants who completed the Fall Seasons of Learning (Returning)

Track 3 - Standards Task Force Team Participants (Only) 

Track 4 - First Time (new) participants who are attending SOLII Winter (these participants should have not attended any previous SOLII sessions) Don’t miss out on another fantastic opportunity to continue “blooming” at the Winter Seasons of Learning II professional development opportunities!
