Our mission is to recognize, nurture, and support gifted young people and to provide opportunities for them to develop their talents and skills to make a positive difference.
Welcome
Pompano Beach High School will host a two-week; four-day per week summer camp for gifted students entering grades three through eight. This program is designed to challenge the intellectual and creative abilities of each participant.
Unique curriculum will offer academically talented students an exciting educational experience from exceptional educators who are experts in their content area and passionate about sharing their love of learning.
High school student mentors providing individual attention in a safe fun environment will assist each teacher.
Eligibility
Your child must meet the following criteria:
- Has been identified as a gifted student with a current Educational Plan (EP).
OR
- A recommendation from current teacher or school counselor stating the student is in the top 1% of their grade at their current school.
Western High School:
Western High School is once again excited to open the application to another summer of fun!
Currently they are planning on a full camp experience (300+ campers!). Time and circumstances will dictate any need to lower the number of campers. As was the situation last summer, we will follow all CDC and district guidelines for COVID-19 protocols.Their gifted camp will be held June 20-23 & 27-30, 2022. It runs from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, with the offering of sports camps 3:30 PM-5:30 PM. The two-week camp is $325, with a discount for free or reduced lunch participants (verification required). The sports camp is $50 a week. Students entering grades 3-6 are welcome to apply. Gifted children need to be appropriately challenged so that they are engaged in their learning and continuously making progress regardless of what level they come in on.
