PSAT

The PSAT, in some cases, is the most important test a high school student will ever take. It’s a standardized test administered by the College Board. The PSAT names the highest achieving students in the nation to qualify as National Merit Semifinalists. All Broward schools pay and administer the PSAT to sophomores in the Fall.

SAT

The SAT is a standardized test meant to show schools how prepared you are for college by measuring key skills. The SAT is scored on a scale from 400 to 1600. You'll get two section scores, one for Math and one for Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW), which is essentially reading and writing sections combined. The scale for both Math and EBRW ranges from 200 to 800.

Because so many students take the test, it also provides schools with data about how you compare to your peers nationwide.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy is an educational website that aims to let anyone “learn almost anything—for free.” Students can watch some 2,400 videos in which the site’s founder, Salman Khan, discusses principles of math, science, and economics.
