    FAU recently launched an initiative to promote summer reading for grade students Kindergarten through eighth (K-8 based upon their grade for the 2020-21 school year). With summer around the corner, FAU Athletics is launching Coach Taggart’s Touchdown Readers, endorsed by FAU Head Football Coach Willie Taggart.

    The summer reading program is designed to encourage elementary and middle school-age students to continue reading over the summer. With the goal to read four (4) grade-level appropriate books over the summer, we hope to provide parents and teachers a way to incentivize more reading. Each student who completes the program will receive two (2) tickets to an FAU Football game.

    Britannica Fundamentals is part of Britannica School.  This kid-friendly site offers ebooks/readalouds, math games, puzzles, and shape matching.  It also offers exploration videos from around the world. Britannica Fundamentals can be accessed from the home page of Britannica School and is available in Canvas by selecting the resources link on the global navigation bar then selecting the Library Media Resources link.     Tumblebook is a favorite among elementary school students.  This site offers storybooks, readalouds, games, and puzzles. These interactive story platforms will entertain students for hours on end.
