    As the Operations and Logistics Supervisor, the Deputy Director updates and distributes curriculum, reference, and training material received from higher headquarters. Reviews and corrects weekly training schedules; assures adherence to the program curriculum by conducting visits and documenting discrepancies; assists in planning, coordinating, and conducting, instructors' in-service, Cadet of Year boards, drill meets, rifle matches, Cadet of the Year Awards Ceremony, Final Review and the Annual Cadet Summer Camp.

    Management Control Plan, and appropriate files, and advises the Director on policy, problems, corrective actions and other matters involving internal management control. Supervises the conduct of Military Academies and Middle Schools Leadership programs within schools, insuring operation is consistent with Coordinator's and Superintendent's policies regarding US Army Cadet Command and Broward County Public School operations are implemented and followed.

     


  • Training & Operations Coordinator,

    The Operations Coordinator works with internal and external agencies to conduct the various JROTC events and activities such as Superintendents Annual Pass & Review Drill Competitions, Marksmanship Matches, County Raider Meets, and Field Trips.  Serves as one of 6th Brigade's Subject Matter Expert with JROTC Curriculum Manager, Training Schedules (Program Lesson Plans), New Instructor Training & Certification, publications, and also serves as the Department Master Instructor.

    Coordinates with Personnel Department to insure finance and administrative matters concerning JROTC instructor personnel are in accordance with salary entitlements authorized.

    Maintain personnel records of assigned instructors within the school system.  Records will include actions such as contracts, school evaluations, hire letters, probationary letters, body fat worksheets as required, Invitational travel orders and other personnel actions related to the JROTC program.

  • Military Property & Warehouse Custodian,

    The Military Property Custodian is responsible for complying with the requirements for resource management and reporting on government property, document control, purchase orders, budget & finance matters (including OMA, MPA and budget & finance).  The custodian conducts required checks according to applicable checklists, prepares the annual reports for the supply areas, and obtains a copy of each JROTC Unit’s completed annual report.  The property custodian maintains the Internal Management Control Plan, and appropriate files, and advises the Director on policy, problems, corrective actions and other matters involving internal management control.

    The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for maintaining accountability for the district's JROTC US Government and BCPS equipment and supplies.  The warehouse specialist issues supplies to instructors and schedules dry cleaning and laundry pickup for over 5,000 uniforms.

    The Operations Coordinator, works with internal and external agencies to conduct various JROTC events and activities, such as the Superintendent’s Annual Pass & Review Drill, Robotics, County Raider competitions, and Field Trips (OSPA Central). Serves as one of 6th Brigade's Subject Matter Experts with JROTC Curriculum Manager, Training Schedules (Program Lesson Plans), New Instructor Training & Certification, publications, as well as serve as the Department Master Instructor.

    Coordinates with middle school administrators to market implement and sustain JROTC like programs in middle schools.

    Serves as the main contact for the implementation, marketing, and sustainment of the Entrepreneur, Leadership and Military Academies in Broward County.
