The Related Services Department provides support to all Broward County Public Schools for the areas listed below.
Speech-Language Impaired
Speech and language impairments significantly affect language use or understanding, speech sound production, voice loudness, quality, or pitch, or the ability to initiate or maintain the rate and rhythm of speech. The speech-language pathologist may provide speech and language therapy services, in small groups, or in a student’s classroom. The speech-language pathologist may also provide information and support to the classroom teacher.

Physically Impaired (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy)
Orthopedic impairments include skeletal, muscular, or neuromuscular problems that adversely affects a student’s educational performance.
