  • The Extended School Year (ESY) Program provided services to over 3,100 students during the summer of 2016. In order for a student to attend ESY, they must be made eligible by the IEP committee at their school, based on data collected by the school and individual needs. A students ESY program is individualized and based on the amount of documented ESE services, reflected on their IEP, that they receive during the traditional school year.

    Services Provided:

    • Planning and projected student enrollment at each ESY site
    • Collaborate with OSPA, transportation, budget and other district departments to help determine ESY dates and times, selecting sites, hiring instructional and non instructional staff and routing
    • Staff development and technical support to ESE specialists and principals
    • Program design and development
    • Curriculum support to teachers and support staff
