21st century jobs require a more collaborative cohesive environment than in previous centuries. Work is integrated across departments in order to find innovative solutions to problems. In essence, people need to learn how to share and build on each other’s expertise. Our STEM, School within a School model, offers a rigorous professional development program to our teachers. Then, we integrate the four STEM subjects through project-based learning and a more market friendly grading system. Our students gain the ability to collaborate in teams, produce solutions to complex problems, and critique the value of each other’s work.
