Use each month’s classroom lesson plans and the Reality Lane (K-5) or Reality Avenue (6-12) character videos to integrate the trait into your students’ daily lives and bring the trait to life in a way that is relevant. We also encourage families to do the related activities at home, some of which are listed below.

Cooperation is the character trait for September. Cooperation is working with others to accomplish a common purpose.
Responsibility is the character trait for October. Responsibility is meeting obligations by being reliable, accountable and dependable to self and others.
Citizenship is the character trait for November. Citizenship is knowing, understanding, and displaying a high regard for rules, laws, government, heritage and for those who have served and sacrificed for community and country.
Kindness is the character trait for December. Kindness is being helpful, thoughtful, caring, compassionate, and considerate.
Respect is the character trait for January. Respect is showing consideration, understanding, and regard for people, places and things.
Honesty is the character trait for February. Honesty is being truthful, trustworthy and sincere.
Self-Control is the character trait for March. Self-Control is having discipline over one’s behavior and actions.
Tolerance is the character trait for April. Tolerance is recognizing and respecting differences, values, and beliefs of other people.
